It is always a good move to find out how much you are entitled to borrow before purchasing the house. A check on your credit score would let you know where you stand. If you have a not-so-good credit rating, then you may want to improve on it before trying your attempt to get a loan. The better your score, the better rate you are going to get.
  • Prequalify your mortgage.

It is always important to prequalify for a mortgage home loan. It helps in getting a better idea of the loan amount and interest rate you qualify for. Although prequalifying does not guarantee the mortgage, but you have the priority over the others when it comes to loan approving.
