Getting stock market quotes could never
be easier with Microsoft Excel. With Excel, you can keep everyday
quotes in an organized manner. In previous topic, we have revealed
how to get stock market quotes in Microsoft Excel 2007 directly,
where you can use the features in Excel itself to retrieve the data you
require.
Beside using the features of Excel, there
is an alternative way to save your stock market quotes using the Excel
application; to go through the internet browser, like Mozilla Firefox.
How to Get Stock Market Quotes
in Excel Format Using Mozilla Firefox?
-
Before starting off retrieving stock
quotes using Mozilla Firefox, you have to get the internet browser
first. If you have already had, then proceed to the next step.
Otherwise, you should download it from the internet. To download, you
can go to the official website Mozilla.com. It is totally free. After
downloading, you have to install the browser to your computer.
-
Upon completion, open your Firefox and
it's ready to navigate you. Search for Yahoo! Finance on the search
engine. Go to the page from your search results. When you are already
at Yahoo! Finance site, remember to bookmark the page, so it will be
easier for you the next time.
-
On the top left corner, you shall see a
text entry box, with the button "Get Quotes". You should fill out the
box with stock symbols. If you have more than one entry, separate them
with <space>. For instance, if you want to retrieve the data for
Agilent Technologies Inc., Motorola Inc. and Citigroup Inc., you may
enter "A MOT C" in the text entry box. The results will appear,
completed with Last Trade, Change, Volume and some other related
information.
