Many would agree that it is not a good
experience to carry a bad credit score. To get a mortgage approve or to
apply for credits are never easy. On top of that, you may have to serve
higher interest for your credit card balances, car loans or mortgages.
You can actually get rid of that. Here
are some tips where you can repair and improve on your credit score:
Improve your payment history from
now on. Pay your bills on time. Delinquent payment is one of the factor
contributing to the bad credit score. Make it a practice from today
onwards, to meet every due date of your bills. The longer you stay this
way, the better your score becomes.
Avoid using your credit cards heavily.
If you utilize your credit card extensively, it is not good to your
credit score, even though you pay back in full every month. This is
because the reports sent to the credit bureau will only show the
balances shown in your last statement. Therefore, just keep in mine not
to utilize your card to the level beyond 30% of the credit limit.
Pay off your debts. Do not move
them around from one credit card to another. Try to find ways,
including work as part time or cash out on used items, to get your
debts settled. This is a more practical way to solve your problems to
the root.
If you have problems making ends meet,
you may need to sit down and have a good talk with the credit
companies. Negotiate the terms to come out with an alternative
solution to pay off your debts. By doing this may not improve your
credit score overnight, but it prevents the situation becomes worse.
Eventually, when you start paying off your debts on time, your score
improves.
